What is going on here you have a glowing sky lighting up the background. The distance hills are capturing the glow turning the blue distance hills into a mauve splendor. The mid section is cooling down with a cool blue in the field. You can see the warm sky trying to cut through the trees. Is it too much man was it allot of fun.

I  live in East Texas however there are few cactus here not like the ones they have in Arizona. I was amazed at the size and shapes of all the different kinds. Also the mountain ranges surrounding you as we travel through the national park.Keeping with my theme of fire and ice as the sun is trying to break through the cloudy sky above. Something a bit cooler , I went from fire now to ice.
About a month ago I had this strange feeling as I was walking to look over my shoulder. This is what I saw the morning mist and the moon playing peek a poo with me. One minute you would see it the next it was gone. I thought how do I capture this moment and do it justice? The colors are very muted and yet peaceful I was very careful to keep all the tones close on the sky. This is my painting of "MORNING MOON" thanks for looking. My time of refreshing is when I look at a quiet stream or pond and can only hear nature talking to me. Found this pond and it was so peaceful and tranquil to me. Still working on the photo part of posting a paintings with the added white boarders trust me they are not crook it, like it seems here. Just adds a great finishing touch to the painting.

With hundreds of members through out the years. I remember as a young artist how excited I was and how challenged this show made me to be the best artist I could be.
