Still just a few days into spring and the morning sunrise is fighting the cool night air creating a land of haze.

This is the continuation of the same painting previously posted. You still see some fall colors and also feel the warmth of spring at the same time. Just a touch of light in the distance hills of a town.

" BREAK " By Artist Doug Carter,.
You feel and see a change in the weather. Winter is leaving and spring is pushing through .The cool bluish morning fog breaking into a beautiful new day. You can see the distance lights of the valley afar off . The warmth of the sun breaking through and lighting up the sky with such colors. If a painting could hug you with feelings this is it . I have another coming from the same spot as well.

SETTLED by Artist Doug Carter, 6 X 8 oil painting.

I must have drove past this place hundreds of times right off the road and never noticed it. I feel sometimes that is how life is we really need to stop and smell the roses as its said. Once I found it wanted to capture the  tranquil feeling of this cabin in just the right settings. This is a study for a larger painting and would like to know how you feel about the choice of setting and colors etc. I do appreciate your help and feed back as always enjoy.

" Quietness ". SOLD

" Quietness " By Artist Doug Carter . 5 X 7 Oil painting.

Art allows you to paint places and create a setting based on the scene in front of you. This spot is just as beautiful as it sounds in a world that just screams for attention . Take this exit and enjoy your time alone with your thoughts and ask Lord whats it all about.

" Rolling " By Artist Doug Carter., 5 X 7 Oil Painting,.
Using some colors to build a exciting mood in my paintings even though you see reds and yellow there enough cools to calm you down and relax you in this scene. Distance Depth and sky and I think this shows it all well.
