Inspired by the weather we have been having in Texas. Yesterday it was 72 in the morning by last night it was 32. This morning even colder with a fire in the fireplace. This weather in Texas is amazing. So I felt like the windy sky was cooling and the ground was still very warm from the morning sun.. That's why I call this piece Warm & Hot.  6X6 Gesso Board.

  I liked how the large oak was covering everything, and  to paint it in such a way that it was in the painting yet not the focus. The bed of Tulips is what caught my eye peaking out from under the shadow of the red bush . I just wanted to share this treasure of a find with you.

What is going on here you have a glowing sky lighting up the background. The distance hills are capturing the glow turning the blue distance hills into a mauve splendor. The mid section is cooling down with a cool blue in the field. You can see the warm sky trying to cut through the trees. Is it too much man was it allot of fun.

Here's something you don't see painted every day. Hat Rack full of family favorites ready for the next outing. Was thinking about the opportunity to paint all theses different colors and styles all at once. Changed some of the hat colors to protect the innocent no just to have better color harmony. Something a bit cooler , I went from fire now to ice.
About a month ago I had this strange feeling as I was walking to look over my shoulder. This is what I saw the morning mist and the moon playing peek a poo with me. One minute you would see it the next it was gone. I thought how do I capture this moment and do it justice? The colors are very muted and yet peaceful I was very careful to keep all the tones close on the sky. This is my painting of "MORNING MOON" thanks for looking. This subject of the moon seems to be quite interesting. On the night of the Blood moon there was overcast in Texas . I was wanting to catch a view of it , they say it won't happen again till 2033. How do you name a painting that does it service. When the subject is beyond our ability to comprehend .
I have no idea how your able to paint something so massive on a small canvas and still do it justice.
I am pleased how this turned out however I need help naming it.

As you can see their is allot to look at, one of the things you have to do as an artist is direct the scene.Probably the hardest thing is to choose whats important and what needs to be toned down and removed.I hope that you can see the depth and the detail where it was needed and you follow the stream and the shadows through this valley to the unknown in the distance.I also painted a larger version of this for a art demo still completely different.Love to here your thoughts and questions , Enjoy.
