"SKY BLISS"

If you have ever walked the beach at dawn or dust it is breathtaking and overwhelming. You seem so small in front of something so beyond words and its all around you. Your senses are seeing all these different things at the same time. Like the power of the sun and surf sounds of the wind and air. I love the beach and hope you can get a feeling of it here.

My Art Story

My Art story:
It's my wife's fault,
I say that because she's the one who signed me up for art lessons one year for my birthday.
She's also the one that reminded me of my mom's talent and how I sketched and painted as a kid. I was even more surprise one day at a local fair that I sold one of my pieces of artwork for $300. My Art career has taken off since then, winning local art shows and selling my art all over the United States . I have my wife to thank for this career and I thank God for her encouragement.

"GLISTENING"

SOLD

During this last Rose Festival in Tyler I was admiring these roses just glowing in the sun. There where bees all over the place and they where busy. These jewels are so hard to keep and grow  and also just as hard to paint. I hope this brightens up your home or that of one of your family's members. I can almost guarantee this one will stay in blooms. Great gifts enjoy your day.

"OVERVIEW"

David Cheifetz workshop,
Taught me allot in a recent work shop in Texas. I know he has inspired my painting in a very positive way. I would highly recommend learning from his talent.
Metal against a neutral back  ground with fruit as a contrasting center of interest. The glow and reflections caught my eye with this setup. Hope it catches yours like it did for me.

'SUNDANCE"

SOLD
"Sundance"
Majesty, Splendor, Glory, All very appropriate names and descriptions don't you think. Love the painting and the subject and all the endless references.  The brushwork on a board is so delicate and challenging. Seems the photos pick it up more than in real life. The sky transition from a cool distant sky above to a glowing distant fading sun.

"Valley Cactus"

I live in Texas and enjoy painting the lush green rolling hill. I also loving painting Oceans and Dessert I have lived on the shore and have always enjoyed the colors of the desserts.  . It's probably because neither are in the East Texas Area. However my recent trip to Arizona I took allot of photos. This scene of this one main cactus caught my eye with the view of such a grand background. It was saying paint me paint me.

SKY FIRE. SOLD

As I'm going down the road towards East Texas all of a sudden I see a cleared area from a brush fire. The tall pines where there and just the bottoms where touched by the flames. The sky had a guilty look to it as if it was the culprit lightning the woods. It was a strange and exciting scene as you pass everything went back to a normal Forrest.  By Artist Doug Carter. 7 X 5 Oil Painting.Sky Fire.
