If you have ever walked the beach at dawn or dust it is breathtaking and overwhelming. You seem so small in front of something so beyond words and its all around you. Your senses are seeing all these different things at the same time. Like the power of the sun and surf sounds of the wind and air. I love the beach and hope you can get a feeling of it here.

Its been a day and just wanted to look at something that is beyond my ability. Only God  can bring together such a combination of light dark and color. This is my attempt to capture that and I needed to spend time looking at it. His creation brings me peace that reminds me of Phil 4;3 and the peace of God, whick surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and mind through Christ Jesus our lord. You could say it this way also. May the God Of Peace   protect what you feel in your heart and hear in your mind., how by making Jesus your Lord. What I like about this is there's  no mention of your soul because that's where He lives once you ask him into your life. So if he is the God of peace and you don't know him may bee you haven't experienced true peace in your life.  Peace to you today.

Inspired by the weather we have been having in Texas. Yesterday it was 72 in the morning by last night it was 32. This morning even colder with a fire in the fireplace. This weather in Texas is amazing. So I felt like the windy sky was cooling and the ground was still very warm from the morning sun.. That's why I call this piece Warm & Hot.  6X6 Gesso Board.

The magic of the sky the light and the clouds all dancing together. The lake view is just an added bonus .  The clouds where glowing with cool and warm rays breaking through the top almost like a lit crown. Yet settling onto the water as if resting again for the day .  I'm starting to think the sky scapes are my favorites what do you think ?

I had one of those times when I needed and answer and it sure would be nice to get a sign you could see from heaven. This is an abandoned old church on a hill in East TX. You cant even drive up to it because of the holes in the drive. As I sat there in deep thought by myself asking and spending some quiet time I just stared at the building. You have heard me rant before about the what ifs of a scene .
Well I did have the sun break through the sky and it hit this building and it warmed my heart and I came to peace about my thought. And this was my Spiritual moment ,Thank You Lord for your answer in my life.

This is another rose that was next to "Glistening"  rose painting previously posted. I very much want to do a larger piece with all the elements captured that day including all the bees.  It was very hot and like I said the bees where very busy doing there jobs on the flowers.  I actually caught them in flight with my camera will have to give that a try. You can also see the light breaking through into the layers of rose petals and lighting up the centers.  What do you think wanted to know .

My Art Story

My Art story: 

It's my wife's fault,

 I say that because she's the one who signed me up for art lessons one year for my birthday.

She's also the one that reminded me of my mom's talent and how I sketched and painted as a kid. I was even more surprise one day at a local fair that I sold one of my pieces of artwork for $300. My Art career has taken off since then, winning local art shows and selling my art all over the United States . I have my wife to thank for this career and I thank God for her encouragement.

During this last Rose Festival in Tyler I was admiring these roses just glowing in the sun. There where bees all over the place and they where busy. These jewels are so hard to keep and grow  and also just as hard to paint. I hope this brightens up your home or that of one of your family's members.   I liked how the large oak was covering everything, and  to paint it in such a way that it was in the painting yet not the focus. The bed of Tulips is what caught my eye peaking out from under the shadow of the red bush . I just wanted to share this treasure of a find with you.

My painting is all about capturing the light here. I have use that saying allot and this is exactly that.
The hardest part of this was the varying glows not just the wick but the light reflected through the glass. Go ahead and try and blow it out , like it and hope you do as well.

Grand Daughter wanted to feed the ducks so we went to the local lake. Found sum ducks however they weren't interested in us at all. We has a half loaf of bread and tried the best we could. Decided to explore and went to the marina there we found Geese and swans another words the grand daughter jack pot. We are very blessed this year in East Texas to actually have the Azaleas blooming during the Azalea trails week. Captures these in a lawn just as the light was breaking through to light them up as if they where on stage. Wanted to share this experience with you to enjoy.

Peace not of this world isn't that what we all look for. This painting calms me down very relaxing to view. This is a scene a very good friend of shared with me and I wanted to paint it and share with you. The ocean wheat grass waving in the beach breeze as the sun settles down for the day. I  live in East Texas however there are few cactus here not like the ones they have in Arizona. I was amazed at the size and shapes of all the different kinds. Also the mountain ranges surrounding you as we travel through the national park.Keeping with my theme of fire and ice as the sun is trying to break through the cloudy sky above.
