"WARMER THOUGHTS "
SOLD
Now to a much warmer feeling landscape. The sky is glowing and yet the clouds are still casting bluer undertones. You know I like pushing the colors and here that's what I have done. Warmer thought 6 X 6.

"DAZE"
SOLD
Earth Sky and Clouds you would think easy enough right .? Wrong, separate OK together complex. I think this one works well because of the complex differences. Worked hard on the calm blue sky and the contrast of the glowing red clouds and earth. Almost abstract yet realism great mix of the both. Saturday, September 24, 2016
"OPEN FIELD"
SOLD
"Open Field" I like this title because the the view is open to all however it was posted no trespassing. This brings me to a question does the title on the painting matter. I say this because I was first going to call this piece "No Access". However I have heard comments about the titles of painting that seemed to bother ? confuse the viewer. So Does that really matter to you?Well back to the painting this view went on for ever it seemed. The spot just was so calming and relaxing I really enjoyed it. The other calming effect was all the blues war and cool and of course the breeze that afternoon was delightful.

My Art Story
My Art story:
It's my wife's fault,
I say that because she's the one who signed me up for art lessons one year for my birthday.
She's also the one that reminded me of my mom's talent and how I sketched and painted as a kid. I was even more surprise one day at a local fair that I sold one of my pieces of artwork for $300. My Art career has taken off since then, winning local art shows and selling my art all over the United States . I have my wife to thank for this career and I thank God for her encouragement.

"STATELY IMPRESSION"
SOLD
"STATELY IMPRESSION"I liked how the large oak was covering everything, and to paint it in such a way that it was in the painting yet not the focus. The bed of Tulips is what caught my eye peaking out from under the shadow of the red bush . I just wanted to share this treasure of a find with you.

SKY FIRE. SOLD
As I'm going down the road towards East Texas all of a sudden I see a cleared area from a brush fire. The tall pines where there and just the bottoms where touched by the flames. The sky had a guilty look to it as if it was the culprit lightning the woods. It was a strange and exciting scene as you pass everything went back to a normal Forrest. By Artist Doug Carter. 7 X 5 Oil Painting.Sky Fire.

"CACTUS SKY". SOLD
I live in East Texas however there are few cactus here not like the ones they have in Arizona. I was amazed at the size and shapes of all the different kinds. Also the mountain ranges surrounding you as we travel through the national park.Keeping with my theme of fire and ice as the sun is trying to break through the cloudy sky above. Lots to see and look at as we journeyed for miles once in a wile you would see and roadrunner or rabbit a few birds. Painted by Artist Doug Carter,. Oil Painting 7 X 5 .
