Hidden Jewel A description of how I felt when looking down this alley in this Old Town City . Finding this House entrance with this light beaming through this secret entry. Just beautiful and yet this painting still doesn't do it full justice. A picture does tell more than a thousand words.
This little 6 X 6 jewel was tucked away in my files. Not sure really how it was overlooked. However I did want to show it off , .I really liked the sky colors and the sun rays just piercing throw the ridge into the valley waking up. Hope it puts a smile on your face today.
I painted a similar scene of just the sky and ocean. You can look back at my previous posts to see it. I wanted to add the land and palm elements to bring it home. A place I would love to take a vacation at whats your thought on it. Join me and lets visit at the beach. This is a large 11 X 14 on canvas board ready for hanging.
As a Artist one of the hardest things to paint is red for a few reasons. One red if you copy it turns black so its very tricky to get the value right. And second its almost difficult to lighten the color without chalking it out. So here it is long stem beauty. I will have another yellow Rose to add to this 6 X 6 collection.
Sharp edges yet soft petals, Something red something green. Always a challenge and yet such fun to paint. My Mom loved these beauties. From the Tyler Rose Gardens.
When the light catches your eye in such a way to make your head turn back . Well that's when you have to take notice. That's exactly what happened going down this road through all these farm pastures and here it was just the small simple farm homestead. That's all I need to capture my eye.
Sights Sounds and lights all the stuff needed for excitement and a great painting. This is the creation of imagination and fun ask any kid. Wanted to share this painting with you today it was exciting to create. A small circus came to town and took over this past weekend activities in our town. If I get enough interest will have to do a larger version of this days Circus.
