Two painting from the same area a city with only one blinking stop sign. Who would have thought. Really enjoyed painting "Barn Yard" Once you start looking you would be amazed at how many different sizes and shapes. Really hope you enjoy.
Even though I live in Texas, I love the beach. I just can't get this picture out of my head, so here it is. A lot more detail than the smaller painting I did with all three of the kids in " LOOK OVER HERE". I grew up on the Jersey shore, worked in Charleston SC. close to Folly Beach and also in Miami Florida. Its the sounds of the water and the taste of salt water in the air and the smells. Please indulge me and enjoy the beach scene.
I'm sitting in my car parked waiting to meet someone and I just happen to look in my rear view mirror and notice this beautiful seen. A early morning light hitting the tops of what looks like a red bud bush. Resting at the base of a Hugh oak tree. With a hint of light brushing the front face of the tree. Tried to show the distance of the winter trees and the bare oak trees. Sure was pleasantly surprised to see the glow of the red bushes. Sure have enjoyed the comments thank you so much for the comments.
Driving through the back roads of East Texas. If you look real hard you can find these hidden jewels. I found this barn east of Tyler heading toward Henderson TX. The clouds had a greenish grey tint. And the color of the barn just caught my eye.
A challenge to paint just in values and still make things look right. This was the task at hand with Steve. I made about four values plus white and a dark . Ult Blue and Cad Orange was my base gray. From there I made different values some warmer some cooler. However you will have to look hard to find them. They work together so well it looks black & white. The back ground color is a Aliz and Viridian color also a great neutral sky color. Well what do you think of Steve? Enjoy.
Moms antique rose picture that I grew up looking at as a kid. I always wanted to do a painting like it, so this is my vision of that painting as I remember it. I think the painting was done in the early 1900's. Hope you enjoy it as much as I growing up. I tried to make it look like it is from that era. Enjoy. 80)
