"Coastal Seashell" SOLD

This is a shell I found on the East Coast a few years ago . I wanted to paint a still life so here it is.  This shell is the size of a Soft Ball very huge. Was trying a style that Dennis Sheehan talks about what a master Artist. It turned out better than expected. Again 6X6 on canvas board. My goal is to make it affordable enough that anyone can have a original of my artwork.

King of the Hill

SOLD
http://douglascarter.blogspot.com/
More fun with perspective and color. I'm such a fan of Franks Serrano's Natural ability to capture atmospheric distance in his work. Thought I would give it a true with king of the hill.

Taking these picture outside sure has improved the true colors of these painting. Check out my blog and see the difference in my photo's of : " Lighting The Way "

Let me hear what you are thinking . Have fun and keep those brushes wet.

DISTANT ROAD

SOLD
Having fun with size and color . One of my first 6X6 canvas board.
Painted just before all the foliage started to change color and fall. I didn't want to paint all the cars on the road I was fascinated with the twisted road and the obvious distance.
On a separate note think I got rid of the yellow photos.  This was taken in natural outdoor light. I'm liking it much much better.

Done in one sitting one stroke at a time with the exact color needed. Take a close look and let me know your vote.
Thanks

" TEA & WATER LEMON"

I thought it odd to serve ice tea in a beer mug, as I looked at it next to my water w/ lemon it started to glow. The restaurant was dart however the light over the table made both look as if they where on fire. Love a challenge to paint  here's one with 2 of my favorites glass and light.
